Video
(Explain in detail to the actors direction, what they do, where and how. Also explain the lighting, locations, time of day, where, when and any props. Include shot types in how you want this photographed)

Audio
(explain the sound effects, music or dialogue and when they are used in relation to the shots)
SHOT 1

M.S – The ident will start with the camera being static focusing on nothing, as all that is being seen is a completely black screen. This shot will be held for a roughly about 2-3 seconds

Shot 2
M.S – This next shot will have the camera also static but out of focus, but in addition to the black background, we will be able to see the the colour purple but as a result of the camera being out of focus we are not able to make out what exactly is purple and even what it is doing there.

Shot 3
C.U – For this shot the the camera is now fully in focus as we are now able to see the letter 'U' with legs walking up and down.

Shot 4
C.U – At this point in time, the camera is not static anymore as the letters 'U', 'N', 'B', 'R' start bouncing around the black screen which each character individually trying to make the term 'urban net'

Shot 5
M.S – the camera then zooms outwards as more letters are coming from a corner, but these letters are new letters and are being added onto the existing letters. While this is happening, beat editing will be used while roving and going from one letter to another.

Shot 6
W.S- At this point all the letters that make up the term 'urban net' are now bouncing around obviously in different colors to represent different people in which consist in our target audience.

Shot 7
L.S/ – At this point in time, all of the characters in the term 'urban net' now come together to obviously form 'urban net' alongside with the website written down in a smaller font.

SFX

At the start of the ident nothing will be heard in the background.

The background music will start to be heard but the dominant sound at this point in time, will be footsteps increasing in volume as the logo the purple silhouette is clearly walking towards to audience but yet we are still unable to figure out what it actually is

Once again, as this is happening footsteps will be heard with the background music getting progressively higher.

At this point in time in the sequence, the background music will be most dominant but now instead of footsteps, each character is now a bit more bouncy so that would be the sound effect in motion.

At this point in time in the sequence, the background music will be most dominant but now instead of footsteps, each character is now a bit more bouncy so that would be the sound effect in motion.

The music continues, however with the use of automation it then gets louder as we are now reaching a pivotal point of the ident

While all of this is going on, the music remains consistent.

Evaluation of Editing.

During the editing process of 'My random acts of kindness' video, there are different types of editing techniques that i used such as fast paced editing and the video was only 30 seconds. There are also other edits which were used such as, continuity editing in order to make the video flow, match on action's were also used in certain shots and cross dissolve as well.

My video has a linear narrative structure which is basically a beginning, middle and end, this is also done in order for the audience to understand the message and purpose clearly. The message is simply a random act of kindness featuring someone who puts different sort of equipment in a box which people of ages 16-25 who are in college, university etc in which is given to another person with a big sign on the box which says 'pass it on' and this same thing happens with someone passing it onto someone else until someone then opens it, takes all the stuff out obviously for his/her own benefit but then as a result of the message, the person goes and then puts another set of equipment's in the box and then the same pattern obviously then repeats itself which is to simplify the whole notion of 'pass it on'. During the whole editing process i could have used alternative editing techniques like special effects which would have made the audience interact more which would've made the advert gone viral which is something for me to improve on in the future.

Techniques used were very suitable and worked well to make sure that I would have kept my audiences attention as my target audience are youth of 16-25 years of age college and university students who may be living away from home as young people are known to have short attention spams.
My peers commented that one of my most effective techniques was how well i made the video flow.

Also, there were shots that were cut accurately to create match on actions and this is when i was not able to put certain shots in this viral advert simply because of the time limit that the client had set so therefore, there were basically two different shots that were put together but at the same time still made sense and most importantly, the audience did not necessarily understand and this was because the cuts were so accurate but then the use of cross dissolve also helped to execute these things. An example of this being executed properly was when one of the characters in my ROAK video started writing 'pass it on' on the box, but the whole shot was too long so what i did was show him starting to write 'pass it on and then using a cross dissolve showing him finishing writing 'pass it on''

In summary the editing techniques used in the creation of this project was successful in meeting the brief in that it was to be 30 seconds of fast pace editing with music to go along with that.
