Working title: Urban Net – ‘keeping your contents urban’

Product Online:
The product will be around 15 seconds long for Urban Net. We are creating this ident because we want to brand the channel and give it an identity. We also want to entertain and teach youth to secure their future and keep it positive, because positivity breeds happiness.

Target Audience:
The target age is around 16-25 years old, in which will be different people of different ethnicity and background and in order for it to appeal to a variety of people, there needs to be things in which obviously appeal to these people.
Content:

A synopsis of the advert: The advert will be a thing where all the words of urban net bounce and come towards the same direction and then form the word urban net.

Structure:

Beginning - The beginning shall be a thing where the audience will be able to see all the words but it will be blurry.

Middle - They then will be able to see all the words coming together then they will all hit together and form 'urban net'

Colours:
The colours in the ident will be a variety of different colours, to simply express the feelings of the different people in which we are aiming to target, which also says to people that out channel is diverse and we also appeal to more than one specific demographic of people.

Animation materials/techniques
The animation in the ident will be stop-motion. This animation would appeal to the target audience and will be far easier to do within the amount of time given. It will also be using time-laps to create fast pace editing
Treatment: The client ordered different colours of plastecine, in which is obviously the main aspect which will enable this Ident to be executed properly.

Editing techniques
The editing will be at a fast pace during the creation of the ident. The ident will feature beat editing in order to appeal to the target audience.  It was also make the ident much more interesting.

Locations/Setting
The location will be in the art studio and however you will only be able to see the plain black background.

Music
The music that shall play in the background will be instrumental hip-hop music. I chose hip-hop music because my research has shown me this is the type of music that appeals most to my target audience.

Filming dates and time:
Planning should be finished along with the pre-production tasks for the 13th of May 2016. After that, the actual production of the animation should have been shot and finished by the 20th of May along with all of the post production. We then finally shall be ready to release/distribute the product on its different platforms
Budget:
The resources for this production will most likely be two lots of plastecine which should roughly be about £10.00
So the total cost will be about £20.00

Production Equipment:
The equipment that will be required during the production will be a camera with the use of maybe a tripod for still shots of the animation. And some type of script that the production can follow to for rehearsal.
Post production: After everything is done, this ident will be distributed on different forms of social media such as YouTube.
Format: YouTube high definition (HDV) 1080p

What about the location or backdrop - how will the bouncing letters appeal to black youth ethnicity?
What does Urban Net do as a channel?

  2. The location of the backdrop will be in college as that equipment is provided in college and also urban net are a channel in which produce content for youth within a specific age range. I also personally feel as though that the bouncing of letters is something in which in have seen that has worked when executed properly, in addition to my point, when watching this ident i would not necessarily understand what is going on but it'll all then make sense towards the end as a very simple and fun idea.
